Reliable Tool and Machine Co. Inc., was founded by Harvie Charles in Kendallville, Indiana in 1946. Reliable began with approximately 1,500 square feet of manufacturing area and two employees. Late 1999 saw the completion of our newest division, Reliable Axle - Manchester, which now gives the company four manufacturing facilities totaling 200,000 square feet with 150 employees. Reliable started the job shop in the machining of gray iron castings for the automotive replacement parts business.

The company now markets these items under their own private label along with a line of wheel hubs, brake drums and complete axle assemblies for agricultural, construction, industrial and recreational vehicle industries.
